Parent/Carer Voice & Feedback – Feb 2024

Thank you to the parents/carers that were able to attend our termly SEND coffee morning in February. The purpose of this event was to review of the KNGS SEND Information Report. This is a document that is published on our school website to inform parent/carers about the SEND provision at KNGS.

Following the review, the new report will be published in Summer term.

For the purpose of the review we focused on the following six points:

1. How do we monitor and review how much progress is being made by students with SEND?
2. What is our approach to teaching pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN)?
3. What training do the staff have to support pupils with SEND?
4. How do we consult and involve parents of children with SEN and involve them in their child’s education?
5. How are young people with SEN consulted and involved in their education?
6. How do we support students with SEN through transition between phases of education, and preparing them for adulthood and independent living?
