The new SIMS Parent App – easy access to important school information

In order to make it as easy as possible for you as parents/carers to access information relating to your child/children we use the SIMS Parent App at KNGS. SIMS is our school management system in which we collect and process information about your child.

Advantages for you as a parent/carer
Access to:

  • important information such as attendance, achievement and behaviour
  • notifications of homework set for your child
  • your child’s school report. Paper copies of school reports will no longer be provided
  • school term dates, INSET dates & KNGS contact details in one place
  • notifications about key information such as key dates for your diary
  • update your contact details, so we always have the most up-to-date information in case of an emergency
  • information for all your children at KNGS & Sixth Form from the same App.

Getting Started with the SIMS App
  1. We will send you an activation email, simply click on the link from your tablet, PC or smartphone to activate your account. Please note your activation email will expire after 14 days if it is not used. Please contact KNGS if this happens (see contact details on page 2).
  2. You will be asked to enter a date of birth as part of the activation process – please note you need to enter your child’s date of birth.
  3. You can then login using your normal Facebook, Twitter, Google or Microsoft username and password. (Please do not use the SIMS ID option)
  4. From your smartphone or tablet, download the app from the Google Play or Apple App store – search for SIMS Parent.
  5. From a PC or Windows phone, login online at

Please note that your activation email is unique to you and should not be used by anyone else. If you require an additional login then please contact KNGS.
