Year 11 Students Visit Oxford

In October, 10 high achieving Year 11 students, accompanied by Mr Abelson and Mrs Edwards spent a day at Oxford University exploring all aspects of university life. The students learnt about what courses were available, the application process and student life. They experienced two fascinating academic sessions, a history session on revolting peasants and computer science lesson where they learned so interesting insights into cyber security. We were also treated to lunch in the dining hall at Keble College. The girls agreed it was a really useful insight into seeing what life as an Oxford undergraduate was like and especially liked hearing form the undergraduates themselves about their university experiences, both academic and social. They returned to Birmingham fully motivated to aim high.
