Business Studies Attend Revision Conference
On 29th November, Year 13 Business Studies students went to Star City to attend a revision conference. The conference build upon theories learnt in Year 12 with particular emphasis on exam technique. The day was divided in to 5 sessions which focused on the skills of knowledge, application, analysis, evaluation and numerical techniques. The sessions were interactive and really challenged students to back up their arguments and link theories. There was a real emphasis on using up-to-date examples of businesses to evidence answers and relate learning to the real world.
Mrs Neale
The business trip to Star City was very useful, due to learning many new exam techniques which will help us all to improve our long answer questions. The skills we focused on were how to analyse case studies and develop our answers to ensure we gain maximum marks in future exams. We received a booklet which we worked on during the day. The Tutor2U team who were running the workshop were very supportive when we did not understand something, and they interacted with the majority of the schools to help us all develop our skills focused on our specific exam boards.
