Comic Relief – Non Uniform
RED NOSE DAY IS BACK ON FRIDAY 18 MARCH 2022
Red Nose Day is coming. And whatever we do, no matter how small, we can help people live free from poverty, violence and discrimination. This includes funding organisations that are supporting people right now in Ukraine, and those attempting to cross the border. Because we have the power to change lives.
- On Friday we will be hosting a big bake sale on the school hall at break time!! Please get baking, encourage the students to bake or bring shop bought cakes to sell! Please bring all cakes to be sold to the pastoral base first thing Friday morning. Samosas will also be available for students to purchase for a £1.
- There will be a big, fun Red Nose Treasure Hunt at break time!! Please inform students that there will be 60 paper red noses hidden around school. Please make it clear they will be hidden on corridors (NOT CLASSROOMS), outside on the back field, in the pastoral and even on willing staff! Students are encouraged to find a red nose and then bring into the school hall where they can exchange it for a very small prize!
- Students are encouraged to wear a red nose; if they come to the school hall wearing a red nose then they will receive a small chocolate
- We will be hosting a Just Dance Event on Friday Lunch time in the School Hall. Everyone INCLUDING STAFF are encouraged to join in. We will be asking everyone who enters the hall to give a small donation.
- Finally, Friday will be a non school uniform day. Students must donate either with cash on the day or via our Just Giving Page (link below) to wear their non-school uniform. Students are encouraged wear to wear red if they wish. Please remind students that they are not allowed to wear crop tops, short shorts or any other inappropriate clothing.
We can all can help KNGS raise money for this great cause by donating directly to our fundraising page – https://www.justgiving.com/Kings-Norton-Girls-School-and-Sixth-Form.
JustGiving sends your donation straight to Comic Relief and automatically reclaims Gift Aid if you are a UK taxpayer, so your donation is worth even more.
Thank you for your support!
