KNGS Joins WMAT

We are thrilled to announce that Kings Norton Girls’ School has now transferred to West Midlands Academy Trust (WMAT) from the 1st January 2025. Alongside Swanshurst School and Hall Green School, Kings Norton Girls’ School has officially become one of the founding members of WMAT.

At the heart of our Trust is our vision: “Achieving more together.” This vision drives everything we do, as we work to equip young people with the knowledge, skills, and mindset to thrive academically, socially, and personally — not only during their time in school, but also in the workplace and in life.

At WMAT, we believe in “achieving more together” through shared commitment, strong leadership, and a focus on continuous improvement — creating a brighter future for every student.

What this means for our students: –
• Collaborating to further improve the curriculum, our teaching and our resources.
• Opportunities to do this together where these are difficult to achieve alone, such as investment in support for mental health, early help and inclusion.
• Recruitment and retention of staff by developing career pathways and further enhancing professional development.
• Utilising and sharing the best practice from three schools to the benefit of everyone.
