This Week at KNGS…

Lots happened at KNGS & Sixth Form this week – here are a few highlights…

Health Day – all students were off timetable on Tuesday taking part in a range of activities and workshops, delivered by external providers and teachers. Topics covered included: healthy living, well being, relaxation, performances from theatre groups and financial skills to name but a few.

Visit to Houses of Parliament – on Wednesday a group of Year 9 students spent the day in the capital visiting the Houses of Parliament, stopping by Downing Street & finished off with a boat trip down the Thames.

Happy Valentines!Year 7 students explored real hearts in our Valentines themed Science Club after school. Following a teacher led demonstration & discussion students were able to able to have a go at dissecting a heart themselves!

Mental Health Project – Well done to the Year 7 – 9 students who visited University of Birmingham alongside students from Kings Norton Boys School to take part in a project looking at Mental Health.

NCS Champion School Award – we were delighted to received (National Citizenship Service) Champion School Award this week for participation in the programme!
