Tribute to KNGS Governor, Caroline Carr

We were very saddened by the passing during the Easter break of our very special governor Caroline Carr.

Caroline had Kings Norton Girls’ School in her DNA, being an old girl of the school from the 1970’s and then finding herself back at the school as a governor in 2010.  Following her time at King Norton Girls’ School Caroline completed a Business Studies degree which led her into a career in industry working in a number of IT and business management roles. Her skills and experience gave her a passion for ensuring the school provided the absolute best for all its students, driving standards ever upwards with her forensic analysis of the data, no decimal point or minor dip in any outcomes passed her by. Caroline was a critical friend in the best sense, bringing a warmth, a humanity and a wicked sense of humour to the board of governors. She gave unstintingly of her time and was there to visit the school and listen to students and staff whenever she could, so that she was able to bring a wider knowledge and understanding along with her own wisdom to any discussion and debate. Caroline’s drive, focus, energy, determination and bravery made her not only a great governor but also a very special person and above all, a friend. She will be much missed.
