Tribute to Marie Shanley

It is with great sadness that we share the loss of Marie Shanley who died on 1^st November 2021.

Marie was a school cleaner and lunch time supervisor for more years than our records show. She worked in school for nearly 40 years and has certainly been a big part of the Kings Norton Girls’ School family.

Marie was fantastic at her job and took real pride in this. She will be remembered with real affection and fondness by many of our students, as a good listener and a welcome and kind face each and every lunch time. Students miss her kindness and the opportunity to talk to someone who always had time to listen.

Marie was a very well-respected colleague and much-loved friend of many of our staff. Staff are devastated by her loss and will miss her dearly.
