Year 7 Spelling Bee showcases impressive literacy skills

This week, Year 7 students put their spelling skills to the test during the KNGS Year 7 Spelling Bee final, which took place at lunchtime. By giving up their free time to take part, each participant demonstrated real determination as the competition progressed and the words became increasingly complex.

Following the closely contested final, the results were confirmed as follows:

  • First place: Rita O C (7-1)
  • Second place: Anna H (7-4)
  • Third place: Amina C (7-2)

All participants are to be congratulated for their efforts, including Arwen T, Sophie P, Violet C, Hailey F, Lowry C, Romaisa F, Skyla C, Aris C and Murrin R, who each tackled the challenging vocabulary.

The annual Spelling Bee provides a valuable opportunity for students to celebrate literacy, build confidence, and support one another in a competitive but encouraging environment. Well done to all who took part in showcasing their spelling skills!
