Discover Your Passions at KNGS
At KNGS, we believe that extracurricular activities and educational visits are essential for opening up a world of opportunities for every student. Our aim is to celebrate talents and interests, spark curiosity, and provide fun experiences that engage all students, whatever their age or background.
We offer a wide range of clubs and activities, designed to ensure that everyone can find something they enjoy. From sports and arts, to debating, crafts, social action, and music ensembles, to special events like the Spelling Bee, Poetry Slam, Eurovision, House competitions, and the Duke of Edinburgh Award, there truly is something for everyone. Participation in these activities helps students develop confidence, creativity, curiosity, responsibility, and care for others, while supporting wellbeing and personal growth beyond the classroom.
Our educational visits are just as varied and inclusive, offering experiences that broaden horizons and inspire learning. Recent trips have included visits to the theatre, universities, cultural and historical sites such as Kenilworth Castle and Berlin’s Holocaust Museum, the Leicester Space Centre, places of worship, PGL residentials, Parliament and the Supreme Court, as well as opportunities for charity and community engagement. These experiences are carefully planned to ensure every student can participate and benefit, as part of our seven-year Character Education Plan.
To help students get involved, we hold a Clubs Fair at the start of each year, showcasing all the opportunities available and encouraging every student to join at least one club. Clubs are advertised throughout the year, and the PE Department shares updates to their activities each half term. We warmly encourage students and parents/carers to explore these opportunities together – there is something to inspire everyone, no matter their interests or experience.
Join a club, try something new, and discover where your passions can take you at KNGS!
