Support for Students & the Pastoral Team

Pastoral Support Faculty

The pastoral support team, led by the Pastoral Faculty Leader,  work alongside the Heads of Year, Form Tutors and SEND intervention team to offer extra support and intervention where students require it.

The team also support students with higher level or continual support needs with repeat negative behaviours, poor attendance, behaviours affecting learning, Social-motional, mental health and wellbeing needs that might require higher levels of support or directed offsite provision or supporting those students whom are accessing our Renewal or Restore rooms.

We aim to teach students in a holistic way, supporting all aspects of pupils growth and development. The support and intervention offered includes:

• Social-motional, mental health and wellbeing
• Developing good behaviour, including targeted support and intervention
• Raising and maintaining attendance and integration into school
• Creating aspirations for all our students to be able to ‘Open a World of Opportunities’

The Pastoral faculty leader also implements our Legal Fast Track Attendance processes.
